II What these terms cover
These terms cover melkem.com and MELKEM apps. If you download an app from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (opens in a new tab) also applies, alongside these terms.
III Our apps are free
Our apps are free and need no account. MELKEM Authenticator has no subscription, no in-app purchases and no ads.
IV Your setup keys are your responsibility
Codes and setup keys stay on your device. MELKEM never receives them and cannot recover them.
If you lose your iPhone without an encrypted export, or forget the export passphrase, MELKEM cannot restore your accounts. Keep the backup or recovery codes each service gives you.
V Lawful use
Use the apps lawfully, and don’t use them to access accounts that aren’t yours.
VI Privacy
Our privacy practices are set out in the MELKEM Authenticator privacy policy.
VII No warranty
The apps and this site are provided “as is”, to the extent the law allows.
VIII Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, MELKEM INC. is not liable for losses that come from using, or being unable to use, the apps or this site.
Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have as a consumer under applicable consumer protection law.
IX Trademarks
MELKEM™ and the M. logo are trademarks of MELKEM INC.
X Changes
Updated terms are posted on this page, with a new effective date.
XI Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, subject to the consumer rights in section VIII.
